Welcome to the 2008-2009 School year
Welcome and thank you for visiting the Barber Middle School web-page. The administrative team at Barber is very excited to start the 2008-2009 school year. We are committed to providing a sound education in an environment of support for one another where all children succeed. In addition to the standards of excellence in academics, our students may enjoy a wealth of other experiences in connections classes, clubs, and other organizations to which students may belong. I encourage you to take advantage of the many opportunities our school offers students and parents. Our school’s success depends greatly on parent and community involvement. We are fortunate to serve children in the Acworth community where there is tremendous support from the government officials, businesses, and families. We also enjoy the involvement of parents and guardians in the operations of the school. There are many opportunities for you, parents, to play an active role by joining the PTSA. Within that organization, there are several ways you can contribute your talents, skills, and time to supporting our students. Please consider how you may play an active and supportive role in your child’s education during these middle grades. Please stay in touch with us throughout the year by using your child’s agenda, by reading all correspondences, accessing the teacher blogs and by listening to all calling-post messages. And remember, we are only a phone call away. Again, we are excited about welcoming you back to our school for our fourth year… a year destined for success!
