7th Period Reward Day - 1-27-12

Several students in 7th period have signed up to bring snacks and soda for a reward day tomorrow.  Those students may drop the items off in my room between 8:50 and 9:10.  What a great class who deserve a great reward!

Final Disney Payment Due

This is a reminder that the final Disney Payment of $100 is due on February 3.  Please refer to the contract for clarification on this and other aspects of the trip.

7th and 8th Treble Chorus Sight Singing Checks

All next week students in the 7th and 8th grade treble classes will be assessed on sight singing.  These will take place Monday through Friday.

7th and 8th Grade Treble Chorus Sight Singing Progress Checks Next Week

We will be holding sight singing checks all next week in 2nd and 4th periods.   Students will be asked to sing various examples from pg. 11- 16.   This is the material that we covered since returning from the break.

Men's Sight Singing Progress Check Tomorrow

Due to having to alter the schedule this week- we will be doing ALL sight-singing checks tomorrow in class. 

Disney Medical Forms

    All of the medical forms that went home last week with the 3rd payment invoices are due no later that Monday January 30.  Please make every effort to ensure that these are complete and turned it!

 

Men's Chorus Sight-Singing Progress Check- Thursday and Friday in class

Don't forget! You will be asked to sing an exercise from the sight- singing book  (pg. 11) on either Thursday or Friday to ensure that you have a good understanding of the content we have covered since returning from the Holiday break.   

Great Start!!

 WOW! What a great start to the new year!   All students in grades 7 and 8 have begun working on literature for the Large Group Performance Evaluation in March!  This is our most important ( and most exciting) performance of the year since it allows us to perform for a panel of judges that provide feedback on our choral skills.  More information regarding this event will be sent home within the next two weeks, so stay tuned! 

 

Although 6th grade students do not perform at Large Group Performance Evaluation, we use this time to study specific literature as if we were.  Consider it a "training year" for next year's LGPE and a chance to study some great music that is challenging and fun.

 

Third Disney Payment Due Tomorrow!

The third installment for the Disney Trip is due tomorrow as indicated on the contract that was sent home in October.  The amount of $125 is due.  Please be sure to get this money in so that you are able to stay on the roster.  All students received an invoice along with a VERY IMPORTANT PACKET containing pertinent legal information.  Please note that the first page in the packet must be NOTARIZED.  Pages returned with0ut a notary stamp will be returned.
