THURSDAY: After the warm-up, the students were assigned selected portions of Maus to read. These passages allowed them to identify and evaluate elements of plot as well as recognize character traits, emotions, and motivations. Students who were not present today should borrow a book from me and read pages 71-84 and 106-115.
FRIDAY: Today the students will have a short quiz to assess their understanding of elements of plot and characterization. Students who check the blog tonight and download the attached study guide can complete it, have a parent sign it, and bring it in tomorrow for extra credit on the quiz. After the quiz, we will finish our selected readings from Maus (pp. 122-125 and 153-158).
