MONDAY: After completing today's warm-up (Download Warm-up 2-28 ), the students took notes to help them distinguish between primary and secondary sources as well as how to determine a source's reliability. Each student was given a research packet (Download Research packet) which included the sample note cards from the attached document (Download NoteCardsOutline). We took a brief tour of the Cobb Virtual Library which can be accessed from home using cobb as the user name and bird as the password. Students then selected their research topic and generated research questions. The last 10 minutes of class were spent collaborating with others who had selected the same topic in order to identify and share relevant, tightly drawn research questions.
TUESDAY-THURSDAY: We will spend two days in the computer lab and one day with the laptops finding answers to our research questions.
