MONDAY: Today is the final day of CRCT testing. Tomorrow we will go back to normal length class periods. The students must have 10 pieces of paper to create a journal in tomorrow's class. Today we will finish last Friday's assignment, which required small groups of students to read about children who had survived the Holocaust. We will compare and contrast the lives of these children.
TUESDAY: Today we will take notes on Drama Download Drama-1, set up our journals Download Responsejournal set up, and compare and contrast the various types of writing we have done this year to what will be required for writing drama Download Compare Contrast writing genres.
WEDNESDAY: Today we will respond to our first journal prompt Download Journal 1, discuss our responses, review yesterday's notes, and watch a few selected scenes from "Life is Beautiful."
THURSDAY: After completing today's journal entry Download Journal 2, students will use a 4-Square review to recall what was established in yesterday's drama scenes Download Four square review. If time permits, the students will watch a few more scenes from the movie.
FRIDAY: After completing today's journal entry Download Journal 3, the students will discuss indirect and direct characterization and examine how each of the characters they have viewed thus far are characterized Download Characters to Review. We will watch a few more selected scenes.
HOMEROOM STUDENTS: Please don't forget to ask your parents if you can bring an item for our pancake breakfast being held from 8:50 to 9:25 this Thursday morning.
