Analyzing Topical Paragraphs

WEDNESDAY: Today the students turned in the two body paragraphs they began writing on Monday. As a large group we analyzed the paragraph from yesterday's notes, and then the students worked with a partner to analyze another paragraph. The objective was to analyze how the supporting sentences worked to explain, develop, and describe the topic sentence. (ELA8W2.b & d)
