MONDAY: After completing today's DGP and reviewing infinitives, the stud ents took brief notes on the subject of addressing the opposing argument in a persuasive essay. We worked as a large group to complete a framed paragraph as practice, and then I provided tiered assignments based on levels of ability to help the students draft their own opposing/counter argument paragraph.
