1st Period Connections: Students took their Warm-up Quiz (One Question)  Then we reviewed what is expected from students during there regular class. 

3rd Period, 4th period , 5th Period & 7th Period: Students worked on their warm-up today and were given a simple review sheet involving Y=Mx+b formula and sequences.  They also were given a bonus sheet to complete by Monday.  The bonus sheet will replace their lowest Homework grade.

1st Period math Connections:  Today we didn't have class due to the change in schedule for conference week.

3rd,4th,5th and 7th Period:  Today we reviewed students homework.  It was checked for completion.  After reviewing line of Best Fit we had a quiz with 5 questions.  Students did very well in general. No Homework was assigned.

    No Class today due to the change in schedule for Conference week.

3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th Period 8th Grade Math Class:

   Students took in fill in notes for Line of Best Fit.  Since it was a shortened day we have no homework.

1st Period Connections:

   Today students worked on their new warm-ups for the week.   They were asked to do Questions 1 and 2 since I will not see them tomorrow due to the change in schedule this week. We worked on some CRCT Questions involving slope and Y intercept.  It was an activity that students work individually but moved from station to station to see if other students wrote the correct answer down to the question. Then they got a chance to answer.  This was used as a grade for the students.  

3rd and 4th Period Mrs. Carroll's class:

  Today we reviewed Y=MX+b and how to turn a line graph into an linear equation.  Students were given instructions and then asked to work on their own.  If they didn't finish it they must turn it in for homework tomorrow.  

5th and 7th Period 8th Grade Math Class. 

Students worked on their new warm-up sheets for the week.  What was being graded and the expectations were given once again. 1st period MathConnections:

    Students worked on warm-ups by using the unravel stratagies. Student then were introduced to Slope intercept form. This was a previewing what was being taught in the regular class.

3rd and 4th period: 8Th Grade MAth Mrs. Carroll's class.

  Students worked on warm-up that were review from previous matterial.  Students were introduced in Slope intercept for yesterday.  Today students worked on a worksheet to practies slope intercept form.  They used peg boards to find the b (Y intercept) and the slope to graph.   Students Had Homework.

5th and 7th Grade math:

1st Period math connections.

Students worked on Y intercepts and X Intercepts to find what they are by plugging in (0) for one variable then plugging in (0) for the other variable.   

3rd and 4th period 8th Grade Math:

   Students took notes on X-Intercept and Y-Intercept.  This was a power point presentation and fill in notes were given to students. No Homework was given, due to the fact that the written test is on Wednesday. Please check Mrs. Carroll's Blog.

5th and 7th Period 8th Grade Math.

1st Period math connections.

There was only a few minutes of class time due to the Testing time.  Not all students were even in class because they were held over in testing. The remaining time was spent working on homework for their regular Math class.  

3rd and 4th period 8th Grade Math:

5th and 7th Period 8th Grade Math.

Students worked on a worksheet to find the x intercept and the y intercept.  If not finished in class then it was taken home for homework.  It will be taken tomorrow for a grade.

   Today students took a quiz on using the slope formula.  No Homework. Have a great weekend.

1st Period: 

    Today students worked on warm-ups that were data related and directed at the CRCT.  We are using a strategy to help students prepare themselves to answer questions more thoroughly.  This is how they are being graded.  Then we worked on writing equations from word  problems then solving them.  This was to support what they do in the regular math class. 

3rd and 4th Period.

5th Period. 

 Today we worked on Slope and how to find the Rise over the Run.  This equals slope.  We also took notes on slope formula.  Students were given notes and worksheets.  Some completed them in class but they will be collected tomorrow for Homework. 

7th Period.

Today we continuted to work on slope and find the rise over the run based on the graph.  No homework was given today.

   Today I collected the take home quiz that was given yesterday.  Today we worked on Slope and how to find the Rise over the Run.  This equals slope.  We also talked about the 4 types of slopes and how to identify them.  Students were given notes and worksheets.  Some completed them in class but they will be collected tomorrow for Homework.

   Today students took a test that will be used to determine their progress of goals and objectives in their IEP's. They also worked on warm-ups.

    Today we took notes on Graphing Linear Equations.  THese were fill in notes and a power point was used.  Tomorrow they will put to use what they learned on worksheets. No Homework.
