Mrs. Kay Clark is the 7th and 8th grade counselor at Barber Middle School. She has a Specialist degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of West Georgia. She absolutely loves her job of 37 years, and considers herself a lifelong learner. Mrs. Clark aligns her counseling philosophy with "Dr. Phil", and is teased about that a lot. However, her students and co-workers know that she is quite sincere about her work. If you want some straightforward advice, confliction-resolution skills, high school information, or just a good listener, stop by the guidance office, and talk with Mrs. Clark. She is not a therapist, but a school guidance counselor that will help guide you in making good choices. Mrs. Clark is married to an educator and coach. They have three children, one son-in-law, two daughters-in-law, and seven grandchildren. She enjoys sharing news about her family, as well as her Barber family!
