This is my third year as a school nurse here at Barber MS. The first year at Barber was my first year to school nursing, and what any "eye opener" that was! It is very different from working in a doctor's office or a hospital. As a school nurse, you have to be a detective and a mommy for the students, with very limited instruments and your 5 senses to make an assessment. I am very experiened in the "mommy" area. I have a husband and 4 children, ages 22, 20, 16, & 14. They keep me busy during my free time. My nursing background began in 1983 when I graduated from Adelphi University in New York. My areas of specialty are rehabilitation medicine & pediatrics. My hobbies include sewing, decorating, snow skiing, and spending time at the barn with my youngest daughter who rides and trains horses.
