Hello, my name is Dianne Cellini and I teach 8th grade science at Barber Middle School. Eight years ago, I began my career as a 7th grade math teacher and in 2005 took advantage of an opportunity to teach 8th grade science. Science is so much fun and I am thrilled to have made the change. Here's a little info about my education and teaching experience: I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in fashion merchandising; I also graduated summa cum laude from Kennesaw State University with a degree in middle grades education with concentrations in math and science. I began teaching math at Moses Middle School, moved to Awtrey and then came to Barber. What a beautiful school and what incredible people to work for and to work with, and what great students to see everyday. And now a little info about my family: I have three sons. My oldest, Jim, is 25; he graduated with honors from Georgia Tech and is now in his last year of veterinary school at UGA. My middle son, Michael, is 23 and graduated this year from UGA with a degree in real estate. While at UGA, he was a scholarship athlete for the UGA swim team. My youngest son, Tommy, is 20 and is a sophomore at UGA, majoring in biology. As you can tell I am a very proud mom. That's all I've got for now-I am looking forward to a great year with my students at Barber Middle School! Go Dawgs!
